As the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic, our love for farming caught the attention of the public through our YouTube channel. This encouraged us to pursue a greater purpose – one that prioritizes the well-being of our environment and the health of our communities, over profits.
And so, GFBD International was born. What started as a small hobby channel has now become a fully authorized proprietorship, with a mission to deliver high-quality seeds and agricultural consultation services across the country and beyond. We have come a long way in our journey, and our commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture practices remains unwavering.

💡 Is the business Shariah-compliant?
- The business model (selling seeds and plant medicine) is Shariah-compliant
- However, according to our Shariah Advisors, biniyog.io and the investors will NOT be liable if the day-to-day operations of the business are not fully Shariah-compliant.

Ibrahim Ibn Mollah Mosharrof has completed Bsc. and Msc. in IT from Jahangirnagar University. He started this business in 2018 and has been working to grow this business since. He got into this business after understanding and studying the aspects of the seed industry and its emerging market. The Contract
The investment is for a period of 12 months, expected from July 2023 to July 2024.
Projected Return on Investment (ROI): 11% per annum
biniyog.io will NOT charge the investors any fees for this service.
Example: if someone invests BDT 100k in the project, he/she can expect to receive a total of BDT 111k by July‘24.
- Investors will go into a Murabahah agreement (sale contract) with Garden Fresh Bangladesh for purchasing various types of seeds of fruits and vegetables.
- It will be a “buy-and-sell” process where investors will first buy the products through biniyog.io. Garden Fresh Bangladesh will then buy those items from investors on credit and pay the amount after 12 months.
- biniyog.io will act as an agent for the investors and buy the products, take necessary ownership and risk of asset possession on their behalf, and then sell to Garden Fresh Bangladesh.
- biniyog.io has proposed a price to Garden Fresh Bangladesh for the products after considering a minimum 11% profit on actual cost of product procurement. Garden Fresh Bangladesh has agreed to it.
- Investors can expect to get their returns in 1 instalments in 12 months:

Shariah Compliance
Investors appoint biniyog.io as an agent to deal on their behalf (Wakalah) and invest into the business through buy and sale of assets under a “buy-and-sell” (Murabahah) agreement.
biniyog.io‘s Shariah advisors have approved the basis and application of this Murabahah contract.
Potential Risks
- Dependency on credit sales: The business often has to offer credit purchase facility to some of its regular and loyal customers (mostly wholesalers). Any significant delays in collecting payments might jeopardize the overall payment cycle.
- Garden Fresh Bangldesh’s strategy: The business only allows the credit facility to only a handful of clients. The business also maintains standard communication and follow-ups with businesses. This lets the business to keep track of its clients and the repayments.
- Seasonal and climate risks: Seed businesses are highly dependent on seasonal and climatic conditions. Unfavorable weather patterns, such as droughts, floods, or extreme temperatures, can impact seed production and availability. Adverse weather events can lead to reduced yields, increased production costs, and supply chain disruptions.
- Garden Fresh Bangladesh’s strategy: The business is not actually responsible for the after-math of selling the seed. However, Garden Fresh Bangladesh keeps active connections with farmers from particular areas to keep track of its product performance and results. These actions mitigate the risk of providing the wrong product at the wrong place and time by certain level.
- Massive market competition: The seed industry is highly competitive, with numerous companies vying for market share. Intense competition can put pressure on pricing, profit margins, and customer retention.
- Garden Fresh Bangladesh’s strategy: The business is currently making a considerably low margin on products to increase market share quickly. The business is also focusing the highest on providing top quality seeds to the buyers. Such actions will let the business handle the current competition gently.
- Possibility of political turmoil following the upcoming election: Our assessment assumes that there will be some macroeconomic turmoil towards the end of 2023 before the general election. This may impact any business.
biniyog.io will buy the products on behalf of investors first and secure ownership. Garden Fresh Bangladesh would have the right to reject the products due to quality etc. The risk is expected to be minimal since Garden Fresh Bangladesh themselves will be choosing the items before biniyog.io buys them.
biniyog.io has done in-house analyses of the projected returns of the business and they are expected to be able to repay on time considering their cash-flow.
Garden Fresh Bangladesh will share instalment cheques with biniyog.io. A personal guarantee security cheque will also be kept from the business owner along with a guarantor.
