The business sources pure grocery items direct from the farmers through its internal connections  and delivers it to its customers. Back in 2021, the business started its journey. Currently it has 250+ SKU of grocery items and 4 outlets in different places in Dhaka city.

Considering the rising demand, the business wants to increase their inventory & product line to  serve the rising demand.  Therefore, the business is seeking funds to purchase some selected products (ice, honey and spices) in bulk. 

This is a “buy-and-sell” (Murabahah) contract where investors can enjoy an ROI of 11.33%* over 8-9.5 months (annualized expected return of 14.31%-17%).

Rokomari Food is a local grocery business and an online e-commerce platform from where you can get the essentials your family needs to be delivered to your doorstep. We use contract farming to give you the best quality foods sourced straight from the farmers. We provide both online and offline services so that you can purchase products in bulk or retail. 

Rokomari Food began its journey in 2021. From the beginning, we are aiming to give the best starting from the source of our foods till it reaches your home. We have our own packaging system in which we maintain hygiene and package in a way that is convenient for you to use. We closely monitor so that our supply chain is secure.

Currently, we have more than 250 products on our product list and four physical flagship stores. And we will continue to expand this range of groceries so that you can find all of your needs in one place. Currently we have 4 outlets in different places of Dhaka City eg; Panthapoth, Mohammadpur, Banani and Santinagar, We deliver to locations outside of Dhaka where courier service is available.

The Contract

The investment is for a period of up to 9 months and 15 days, expected from July 2024 to May 2025. If everything goes smoothly, it may be completed as early as 8 months, by March 2025.

Projected Return on Investment (ROI): 11.33%

biniyog.io will be charging investors a 5.56% fee on their profits.

Example: If an investor invests BDT 100k and makes a profit of 12k, biniyog.io will charge 0.667k as service fee. This means investors will be keeping 94.44% of profits generated. The net ROI for the investors will be 11.33% after deducting biniyog.io’s fee.

  • Investors will go into a Murabahah agreement (sale contract) with Rokomari Food to purchase grocery items directly from farmers. 
  • It will be a “buy-and-sell” process where investors will first buy products through biniyog.io. Rokomari Food will then buy those items from investors on credit and pay the amount over 8 months.
  • biniyog.io will act as an agent for the investors and buy the product, take necessary ownership and risk of asset possession on their behalf, and then sell to Rokomari Food.
  • biniyog.io has proposed a price to Rokomari Food for the products after considering a minimum 12% profit on the actual cost of product procurement. Rokomari Food has agreed to it. Investors will be getting a net of 11.33% profit after deducting biniyog.io’s service charge on investor profit.
  • Investors can expect to get their returns over 8 months in three installments:
    • 10% in mid October 2024
    • 35% in mid January 2025
    • 55% in mid April 2025

Investors appoint biniyog.io as an agent to deal on their behalf (Wakalah) and invest in the business through the buying and sale of assets under a “buy-and-sell” (Murabahah) agreement.

biniyog.io‘s Shariah advisors have approved the basis and application of this Bai’ Murabaha contract.

  • Price hike: Prices of commodities are currently at a volatile state. Prices going up by a significant margin might end up hurting the total revenue and the net profit of any business.
    • Rokomari Food’s strategy: The business will be buying the products before the inception of the peak season. Moreover, the business pre-orders many items (using contract farming model) to mitigate the price hike of peak season. 
  • Negative marketing on social media: This is the most risky part of this business, as Rokomari Food is operating through online, moreover the business is highly dependent on social media marketing to reach its customer to generate offline sales also. Therefore, any kind of negative review because of unhealthy competition may affect the business’s brand value.       
    • Rokomari Food’s strategy: The business avoids paid marketing and ensuring product quality is one of the main concerns. They deal with customer feedback with the required level of importance. 
  • Disruption in product procurement: Rokomari Food is a local grocery business, where the business needs to maintain an optimum level of stock product to ensure product availability at the best price, but disruption may become a barrier for the smooth product procurement process. 
    • Rokomari Food’s strategy: To mitigate the risk of disruption in product procurement, the business maintains good relations with the suppliers. Also, the owner’s experience and expertise in the industry helps him to ensure an uninterrupted product procurement channel. 

biniyog.io has done in-house analyses of the projected returns of the business and they are expected to be able to repay on time, unless one of the risk factors comes into play.

biniyog.io will buy the products on behalf of investors first and secure ownership. Rokomari Food Limited will act as a buying agent for purchasing grocery items. The products will then be handed over to Rokomari Food Limited within a very short time frame.

Rokomari Food Limited would have the right to reject the products due to quality etc. The risk is expected to be minimal since Rokomari Food Limited themselves will be choosing the items before biniyog.io buys them.

This is a necessary risk to ensure Shariah compliance of the transaction.

Rokomari Food Limited will share a personal guarantee security cheque with biniyog.io. Moreover, a guarantor will be introduced in the contract to add an extra layer of security for the investors.


This investment opportunity is based on a first come first serve basis. Your investment is secured only after your transfer-proof has been received. If the investment quota is already filled, your transferred amount shall be returned.
